  1. Commit to paying a processing fee of $1,000 CAD, applicable to all LMIA categories except those involving caregivers for low-income families and LMIA supporting permanent resident applications.
  2. Advertise the vacant job position for a minimum of four weeks before extending an offer to a foreign worker.
  3. Demonstrate the utilization of two or more recruitment channels, in addition to the Canadian Job Bank’s website.
  4. Present a comprehensive transition plan outlining the strategy to reduce dependence on foreign workers.
  5. Provide documentation indicating investment in training for the hired foreign worker.
  6. Substantiate the commitment to retain Canadian workers, ensuring there will be no layoffs following the employment of the new foreign worker.   

LMIA Process for Employers:

1.Compilation of Required Documentation

2.Job Advertisement
