Provincial Nominee Program

Provincial Nominee Program

Individuals applying for Canadian work visas through the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) can benefit from an expedited visa application process. Prospective immigrants considering the PNP route must possess the requisite skills, appropriate education, and ample work experience, and achieve a satisfactory result in a language proficiency examination, particularly for semi or low-skilled trades and professions.

To be eligible for the Provincial Nominee Program, an applicant must be nominated by a Canadian province or territory. Many provinces in Canada collaborate with the Federal Government of Canada to fulfill their authority to nominate immigrant workers seeking to establish themselves within their specific province.

Provinces and territories (PTs) administering Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) have the authority to nominate candidates through the Express Entry pool. This process supplements their ability to nominate foreign nationals through the traditional paper-based method or Express Entry.

If your NOC TEER Code and profile is qualified for Express Entry, then having a PNP nomination from a province like BC can give add an additional 600 points to your current Express Entry CRS score.
